What is Amazon Mechanical Turk?

Amazon Mechanical Turk is a marketplace for work that requires human intelligence. The Mechanical Turk service gives businesses access to a diverse, on-demand, scalable workforce and gives workers a selection of thousands of tasks to complete whenever it's convenient.

Amazon Mechanical Turk is based on the idea that there are still many things that human beings can do much more effectively than computers, such as identifying objects in a photo or video, performing data de-duplication, transcribing audio recordings, or researching data details. Traditionally, tasks like this have been accomplished by hiring a large temporary workforce (which is time consuming, expensive, and difficult to scale) or have gone undone.

What is a HIT?

A Human Intelligence Task, or HIT, is a question that needs an answer. A HIT represents a single, self-contained task that a worker can work on, submit an answer, and collect a reward for completing.
How do I get started as a Requester?

A Worker is a person who is doing a task (work).

A Requester is a company or a person who is providing a task (work) to be undertaken by a worker.

How do I get started as a Worker?

Visit the Worker web site at www.mturk.com.

Sign in as a worker. The option is available on the right hand side top of the website.

Enter your email address add click on the

I am a new user.

Provide your password and then click (Sign in using our secure server)

Then Follow this instruction of filling you name, address, tel nos. (Please provide your proper postal address, address, as at this address the checks would be sent)

For requesting for Indian rupee check payment you need to fill in the details requested

Like the Date of Birth

Select a document type which you need to scan and send to them for verification. It can be any of the following:

1.Passport
2.PAN Card
3.Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC)

Fill the Document number selected

Then press “”Continue”” to attach the document which you have selected for verification.
Please note that the email id provide is your user id.

On completion of the above you are now a worker at Mturk and ready to accept tasks and earn money by following the below step:

WORKING ON HITs

Step 1: Find work

Search or browse through the Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs) and click on the one that interests you.

Step 2: Work on your HIT

Accept the HIT and follow the instructions. When you're done, submit your work.



Step 3: Get paid for your work

After the requester approves your work, money is deposited into your Amazon Payments account. You can monitor your earning on the Dashboard as well as the status of the task (work) done, whether it has been approved or rejected or still in pending status.
